Layer112H is a configurable Two/Three-way ultra compact Line-Array
element. A plenty full-bandwidth low frequency response, extended
down to 65 Hz, allows the system to be used without subwoofer
units in many applications where additional low frequency
extension is not required.
Its All Horn Loaded design features a high efficiency 12in.
woofer in hybrid configuration, horn & reflex loaded for
a superior LMF impact and greater extended low response that
you cannot expect from a compact and lightweight enclosure
compared to traditional systems of equal size.
Layer Mid-Hi frequency section comprises three particular
compression drivers combined with a strong Neodymium magnet
and a proprietary double parabolic (4in. x 1in.) planar waveguide,
giving a dispersion of 90 deg. and 10 deg. on the Horizontal
& Vertical axis.
Each driver radiates a coherent planar wavefront output, performing
as a rectangular piston without internal diffractions, due
to the special phase-plugs placed within it, for superior
control directivity and high fidelity frequency response,
also providing extremely high sensitivity.
This special long throw device is characterized by a clear
and transparent sound, transferring a comfortable flat and
smooth response.
Greater is the coherence on the horizontal and vertical axis,
the Mid-Hi perfect acoustical coupling of individual units
is maximized creating a continuous line source, allowing to
achieve really large distances. According to use, VH Layer112H
can be configured with an additional unit providing an accurate
and more detailed mid frequency response (EMD, midrange External
Device).
The ABS lightweight (8 Kg) EMD houses two fully horn loaded
6.5in. midranges.
An integrated aluminum rigging system enables the fast assembly
on both left and right sides of the VH Layer112H. A NL4 output
SpeakON connector allows the EMD to be directly wired on the
rear connections panel of the main system.
Compact dimensions make this unit extremely modular and suitable
for many different array configurations of large dimensions.
Lightweight makes also easier and faster all ground stacked
configurations. Easiest is the system setup thanks to the
proprietary box integrated Layer quick rigging solution.
A two units flyghtcase makes transportation and setups with
ease. Only two persons can manage the maximum configurable
24 elements array.
A complete range of rigging accessories makes all deployments
with ease, such as ceiling-mounted or stacked, offering multiple
setup options and various orientations. Significant construction
criteria, combined with the latest technologies and innovative
materials, ensure a great reliability over time.
VH Layer112H cabinet is constructed from Birch-ply and has
an impact and weather protected PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection)
finish.
It can be as well matched with all the most challenging Loud
Professional Formula and VH subwoofer systems, significantly
boosting its LF extension.
