EMD,
external midrange device, is the ideal companion of the VH
Layer112H providing an accurate and more detailed mid frequency
response in a focal and crucial point as the medium range.
This special device is focused to obtain the maximum of vocal
and instruments intelligibility. Its all horn loaded design
features two high efficiency 6.5in. cone-paper midranges,
giving a sensitivity of 109 dB (2,83V @ 1mt), a huge gain
compared to traditional direct radiating drivers. Even smaller
electrical input signals are transformed into a greater wavefront
output. Thanks to the fast and prompt transient response,
stimulated by an intese program and instant peaks, the impact
is incomparable, what makes a live performance unique, such
as percussions, drums, guitars, bass, vocals and all instruments
generally combined together. They all receive large benefits...sounds
come naturally! The use of cone-paper transducers in the medium
range, instead of the Aluminum or Titanium standard diaphragms
of the compression drivers, allows to obtain a truly smooth
and flat response in a really crucial point, as the medium
range. EMD ABS lightweight (8 Kg) enclosure houses an integrated
aluminum hardware, allowing the fast rigging assembly on both,
left and right sides of the VH Layer112H enclosure. It can
be directly plugged through the VH Layer112H rear connections
panel, a NL4 SpeakON output connector (EMD Out) provides the
necessary outlet. Lightweight and compact dimensions make
this unit extremely modular and suitable for many different
installations even of large formats. Significant construction
criteria, combined with the latest technologies and innovative
materials, ensure a great reliability over time.
